Level 4 SVQ in Social Services and Health Care SCQF Level 9
This course is suitable for Managers/Assistant Managers working within the care industry, looking to upskill and earn a recognised qualification, which demonstrates that they have the skills, knowledge, and competency required, to carry out their role, to a high standard.
About This Course:
The SVQ 4 in Health and Social Care is a qualification that is typically aimed at individuals who are working in a managerial or supervisory role in the health and social care sector. This could include care home managers, team leaders, and other professionals who are responsible for managing the delivery of care and support to clients.
This course can be completed virtually through online weekly video calls with our assessors. Candidates can upload and edit their portfolio through Kaizen’s bespoke online learning system, allowing effortless collaboration with their assessor.
Assessment:
Candidates must complete 4 Mandatory and 4 Optional units.
Candidates will generate evidence and demonstrate understanding and competency in job-related tasks/skills, within their particular area of work.
Units are completed, through a combination of Observation (from the Assessor/Expert Witness), Written work (Candidates’ Reflective Accounts, Questions, Activities and Work Products), along with Professional Discussion, which are all linked to the candidate’s job role.
Direct Observations:
These are carried out within your work setting and during normal working hours.
Candidate Written Work:
The expectation is that this will be completed within your own time.
Your Assessor will assess your work and offer developmental and meaningful feedback to help ensure work within your portfolio meets National Occupational Standards.
