Why undertake an SVQ?

Social Services and Health Care SVQs are extremely beneficial regarding career progression and Continuous Professional Development (CPD), as well as being a ‘mandatory requirement’ in your registration, with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). The SSSC requires you to gain an SVQ to maintain your registration to work.

Completing your SVQ can take anywhere between 6 months(for an SVQ 2), 9 -12 months (Level 3) and up to
18 months for a Level 4 and CSLM.

Achievement is based on your level of commitment, good time management and maintaining regular contact
with your Assessor.
